Last year I spent 106 nights in a hotel. Seriously, 106 nights! I just added them up and can't believe it myself. It's no wonder I gained 10lbs, developed a minor heart condition, and have a dog that never learned to respond to its own name. I visited dozens of cities, met some crazy cool people, ate some amazing food (i.e. 10 lb weight gain), drank way too much (i.e. the 10lb weight gain), and had some seriously good times. But I also actually once... okay twice... yelled at an airline representative in a manner that should have landed me in a mental hospital, learned how to sleep in the middle seat of any airplane (even Spirit's ridiculous seats that leave a 5ft 3in woman with bruises on her knees), and developed a keen 6th sense to be able to navigate to a Zipcar in any parking garage, anywhere- seriously I could be on the "Amazing Race to find a Zipcar."
Needless to say, I am full of some good travel stories and have experienced even more travel woes.... so I have decided to share them with the world... or my mom and friend Joanna who are the only two likely people to care about what I have to say. So stay tuned- next trip New York City on February 25th.
